The Process: First Draft

So we did it! We premiered The Bloom & The Blackness in the Fast Forward Series at Dixon Place. We had an awesome turnout, and I'm so glad we did because my dancers KILLED IT! I couldn't be happier. I received great feedback both in person and via anonymous comment cards. I've been floating for weeks now.

Frances, the composer, and I have intended on making this an evening length work from the start. She has already done 3 movements of the piece. So far we've touched 2, and added a small interlude. First draft... done! What's next? Next, we start working towards an immersive evening length production... but how?
